I’m Sick OF Covid-19

So we recently had an outbreak of Covid-19. By the way, nobody went to the hospital or even had more than a sore throat and a runny nose. It used to be if someone tested positive, he and his celly went into quarantine regardless of his test status, but they changed that for awhile, which was a good thing.

Eventually a lot of people caught it and they moved all the positive cases out of the building. Some of them were even sent to the hole (administrative segregation), which has no TV, or phones, and they only let them bring food. Everyone who tested negative got put on quarantine due to potential contact despite our negative results. Then more positives showed up, and Sacramento told the prison to pack the whole building up (over a 100 people and their belongings) and take us to the dining hall so they could sanitize the whole building.

They soon realized that was not going to work, so they had us put our stuff outside our cells and wait until about until about 7pm… a lot of people’s mattresses, TVs, and books were outside, so they had nothing to do for almost five hours. Then they had us all go outside so that they could spray the whole building. They also brought a bunch of negative cases over from other buildings to consolidate. After about a week of being in our cells and being constantly tested (like they want you to test positive), we all decided to refuse. This made the administration pretty mad. The captains, sergeants, and the warden all came over to our building asking why we refused. They said if you guys refuse from now on you will go into quarantine with your celly. They said we will let you go back to regular program if you test two more times clean. The last test was supposed to be yesterday, so this is starting to just look like another con on their part. Meanwhile other people are getting yard. I’m not sure who or what the circumstances are, but it seems pretty messed up that we’ve been locked down for two weeks and tested negative… and we’re still locked down. On top of the fact that everyone’s situation is screwed up now. Their cells are gone, their cellys are gone, and they might’ve even lost some stuff. They should have just locked us down for two weeks and called it good—too simple though!

  1. So sorry your prison isn't located in Florida, the land of the free.
